How I Got My Banned YouTube Channel Back after 3 years. Inspiring article for new YouTubers who want to start even without setup. My 11 years Journey
How to Start?
Are you willing to start your YouTube Channel in 2025? Which are the top mics? Which camera to use? These are the topics every new person searches on YouTube. But let me tell you one truth: until I kept searching all these things, I could never start my channel. I later realized that to start a YouTube channel, you do not need a good camera or setup — you need commitment. You need a decision that you really want to start a YouTube channel. So in this article, I’m going to tell you my entire journey: how I started my YouTube channel in 2014, how I struggled with no subscribers or watch time, how it got banned, and how I got the same channel back in 2025. I will not talk about which mic I use or what lighting I have — because there are already many videos about that on YouTube. But what I will cover is something more important.
Why YouTube?
Before anything, it’s important to understand — why YouTube? If you want to Start a YouTube channel today that means taking a full-time commitment. If you think you’ll give 2 hours a day and your channel will grow quickly, that’s not how it works. You will have to learn scripting, become camera-friendly, learn editing, thumbnail-making, and how to upload properly. And more than that, when you don’t get views in the beginning (which is normal because your channel is new), learning to stay motivated becomes the biggest challenge. This is where most people give up. Self-doubt creeps in, and many start thinking, “Maybe I’m not good enough.” More than half of the YouTube channels don’t become successful for this reason. But I’m not here to demotivate you — I’m just preparing you for the real journey.

My 11-Year Journey and the Biggest Mistake
It took me 11 years to build my YouTube journey because I had no knowledge and I made mistakes. One of my biggest mistakes? I kept posting random, unrelated videos. One day, my Hero Honda video went viral. I thought I should make more like that. I made several similar videos — but kept them private, thinking I would publish them later. Then one day, YouTube banned my channel for keeping too many videos in private mode, which is not allowed. I was heartbroken. I had no confidence left. I continued creating videos, but my confidence was shattered. I appealed, but they rejected my request. My original channel was banned in 2022, after the COVID lockdown.
Starting Over with Heart
I didn’t stop. I created a new channel and started posting regularly, whether views came or not. Because a creator is made from the heart, not just the mind.
So, if you’re starting YouTube — come with your heart. Your first step should be to choose your niche — that’s the category or topic of your channel. Be it informative, motivational, comedy, vlogs, etc. If you’re clear from the start, that’s great. But if you’re not sure — don’t worry. My story was the same. I started with finance videos but lost interest. Then I made informative videos for 6–7 months, but still didn’t feel connected. Eventually, I stopped making videos again.
Finding My Niche & My Channel’s Return
Then I started watching successful creators’ channel and started learning from them Finally I discovered my true niche — Graphic Designing and Printing. I restarted my journey, using the same channel name that had been banned. And one day, YouTube gave me an option to appeal again. I simply wrote:
“Please give my channel back. I will follow all YouTube rules and never make the same mistake.” At that time, I was also reading Stawan Manjiri because I’m a devotee of Sai Baba, and I believed He would return my channel and everything I lost. And then, a miracle happened — within 30 minutes, I got an email from YouTube saying: “Your channel has been restored. You can restart again.” And yes, all my videos were there, exactly as I had left them. I had lost some subscribers, but my content was back. That’s why I’m sharing this story — it’s nothing less than a miracle.
